Fender Vg Stratocaster

Hi again, today I thought i'd share a great guitar with you. I saw
this for the first time quite a while ago and loved it straight away.
Not only does it look good, it also has some clever stuff inside it.
Here is a snippet from the Fender website..
Fender and Roland® team up once again to bring you the revolutionary
new VG Stratocaster guitar. It’s an incredibly versatile instrument that gives you 37 different
Stratocaster, Telecaster®, humbucking, 12-string and acoustic sounds,
plus five alternate tunings, all at the simple flip of a switch or
twist of a knob. It all comes in the gracefully familiar form of an
American Series Stratocaster, and it’s designed to deliver each sound
with level, balanced tone and volume—no need to readjust your amp
settings with each change in guitar sound.

So go and check it out!!

But then there's the price. I think the cheapest price i found for it was just over £1100 so i'l be saving for quite a while :)
That is all,
James.

PicLens

Hi everyone. Just thought i'd share a site ive been using for a while now. PicLense is a tool that you install into either IE or Firefox or Safai. What is does is gets the image results from a Google Search or a photo album from Bebo or Flickr and displays it in an interesting way. When you hover over a thumbnail on an enabled website, a little blue play button appears and if you click on it, it will launch PicLens. You then get an image wall that you can surf along and see the results for that search or the images in tha album. They have recently enabled video support so youtube has now been added as well!
So check it out and download it to see how cool it is!Click Here to visit
The reason i'm sharing this with you is that i'm about to roll it out on 4unetwork. Now all I need is some pictures... which sets me up nicely for another blog post :)
Cya!

Musical Madness

Hi all, just thought i'd promote a great song that's recently been released. I heard it first on Radio 1 a few weeks ago on Zane Lowe's show and ive been waiting for it to come out since then. And today I randomly remembered to download it. It's called Propane Nightmares by Pendulum. Available on iTunes everywhere else really :p.
One other thing, as you might know, I play guitar and recently I have been looking at a guy called Eric Roche. He's a great acoustic guitarist that sadly died in September 2006. He's done a few covers of some great songs by putting his own acoustic touch on them. These include Jump by Van Halen and Higher Ground by Stevie Wonder. There are some vids on Youtube of him playing and it's well worth checking out!
That's all! :D

Behind the scenes..

Hi, there is now a comments system working on every blog entry. I have coded it all myself and it all works thanks to PHP & MySQL. So woo! And there was something else.. oh yer, there is now a link system as well so I can monitor how many clicks a link to another site gets from this one! I probably could have found out through awstats but if you click on one of thelinks like freerice.com on the right of the homepage, you will see a page called linkout.php?link2 or something. This is just to make sure it is recorded!
And that's anotherthing, Freerice.com. You must go and have a look at it! all you have to do is get the question correct and some rice is donated to charity. Simple and amazing! Aha you all say, it's probably a scam to make us waist our time but it's supported by poverty.com and many other websites set up to crack poverty. I think there's a video on there as well as to how it gets to the people who need it!
Ok, thats all for now. On with the revision..

Following on.. & Movies

Hi, following on from my last post about podcasts, I thought i'd point out the new rss link in the header up there ^^. If you're one of those people that subscribe to every rss feed you come accross then this is for you! It's basically just a file that includes evey post ive written on this blog and it puts it into a standard form so that you can use it in any way they want or read it in what ever you want. If you subscribe to it with your internet browser, it will tell you when the file has been updated! (most modern browsers ;) )
Also, I have now added some new funny movies for you to view as you please!
That's all,
James.

Podcasts

Hi, Today, I thought i'd share what podcasts i've got on my ipod. And if you don't know what a podcast is then this is next paragraph is for you..

A podcast is a collection of digital media files which are distributed over the Internet, often using syndication feeds, for playback on portable media players and personal computers. The term podcast, like "broadcast", can refer either to the series of content itself or to the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also termed podcasting.Wikipedia

So, here is a list of the podcasts I listen to occasionally. Even if this is no interest to you and you don't have an ipod, you can still download them and listen to them on your computer or another mp3 player

Something for everyone

Hi, I have two things for you today. Number one.
http://www.listen77.com/ This is a great website i stumbled upon today. Literally any song you want, they have it. But only to listen to. (not that you'd want to illegally download it would you.) It's a great idea if you want to have a listen to a song before you buy it or something like that. Anyways, I found a few good songs on there so why not have a look for yourself!

Number 2..http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/For all you web designers out there that want an excelent clean looking text box enhancer then you need to have a look at moxicode's TinyMCE. It's great! A javascript app that sits on your website and will put pretty much microsoft word controls on there for you! I just upgraded from 2.0something to 3 and it looks pretty good.

Everyone pleased?
good.
Cya.
